When you discover pimples on your face or body, it can be embarrassing and distressing. Some people don’t realize that by taking care of the zits on your skin properly, it will reduce in size faster and improve your complexion.

This article contains a number of tips on how to deal with pimples.

While keeping your face clean is important in zits care and prevention, don’t wash too often.

This could remove helpful oils from your face and reduce your skin’s ability to naturally protect itself. It could even make your zits worse in some cases because constant washing can aggravate your pores.

Use hydrocortisone cream on an existing pimple to remove redness when it becomes inflamed.

A dab of this cream can help not only soothe the pimple, but will shrink the blood vessels in the area, reducing the appearance of redness.

Be careful not to use it too often, as your skin can get used to it and it may cause more skin problems in the future.

Cut Back On Caffeine

You might think that drinking coffee helps to reduce stress, but in truth caffeine only increases both stress and its resultant acne breakouts.

Cutting back on coffee will not only help you to stay calmer while experiencing stress, it will also help your skin to stay balanced and hydrated and as a result will also cut back on breakouts.

Avoid The Soda

Drink as little soda and sugary juices as possible.

There is so much sugar found in soda and sugary juices that you want to avoid them altogether.

If you want a good beverage, you want to stick to water for refreshment or healthy teas that can provide antioxidants and other vitamins that are useful. Natural juice is a good choice, as well.

Wash Your Bedding

In order to minimize pimples breakouts, wash your bed linens weekly, at least.

During sleep, your body sweats and skin lotions, hair products, etc. can sweat right off your body and onto your sheets and pillowcases.  Those oily substances and residues can easily clog pores, which can lead to acne.

Be Careful With Makeup and Accessories

If you have pimples, avoid using makeup applicators and tools that can’t be washed or disposed of.

Bacteria can multiply on makeup brushes, sponges and pads unless they are washed regularly.

This bacteria is then deposited onto your skin whenever you apply makeup and can cause zits outbreaks or skin infections.

As this article has discussed, nobody wants to wake up to discover pimples on their skin. However, if you take care of your pimples properly, you can reduce the redness and swelling more rapidly. Use this article’s advice so you can treat your zits and be on your way to clear skin.

Dermology Acne Review – Does It Really Work?

While there does not yet seem to be a holy grail that works for everyone when it comes to treating acne there is a relatively new product on the market that is getting rave reviews.

This new product called Dermology has produced many success stories from people who were suffering terribly with their skin problems.

Here are just a few of the customer testimonials from the Dermology site:

My brother and I both had a acne problem and his face started clearing up. So I asked him what happened, and he said that he started taking dermology.  I figured if it worked for him, maybe it could work for me.  And it did!  Now my acne has gone away and I’m so more confident in my appearance.
Stephanie, USA

I’ve had acne really bad since I was a kid.  I have tried several products in the last few years without any success.  After using your dermology cream my face started clearing up right away and my friends started complementing me on my skin.
Maria, USA

I just wanted to say thank you for changing my life. I’m no longer embarrassed to go out in public and talk to girls. Since using your dermology cream I no longer have pimples on my face and I keep on getting skin complements.
Julio, USA

The company is offering a 30 day no risk trial offer in order to give anyone the time necessary to see if in fact whether or not this product that has helped so many others get rid of their acne will work for you.

It seems to work for most people who use it.  It usually at the very least helps to reduce the really bad acne issues that some people have when they don’t know how to get rid of acne fast.

It makes sense to give it a try.  Just make sure to read the fine print when ordering your no risk trial so that you understand just how they work the program.

They don’t work the program like a lot of other companies where they try and sneak in extra charges soon after you buy and then claim that it was in the contract. If the product works for you then you are able to stay on a monthly auto-ship program for a real nice price.

Once again, just be sure to read the terms that are clearly stated on the bottom of the Dermology website and you will be okay.

How To Remove Pimple Scars

By Julie Armstrong

Pimples are a small bump that appears on the skin and may appear throughout the body, but they are most commonly associated with the face. When acne occurs on the face it can be embarrassing and may cause the inflicted individual to revert to being shy and avoiding public contact as much as possible.

These bumps occur as the result of a blockage of the pores on the skin; this is commonly the result of oils on the skin.  In many cases these bumps may leave scars behind.  The scars can be quite damaging both physically and emotionally. But you do not have to live with them permanently if you know how to get rid of pimple scars.  Once the scars are removed then typically the confidence and emotional level of the individual will improve as well.

The first thing you should do when trying to eliminate pimple scars is to consult a dermatologist. They will evaluate the condition of your skin and determine the best cure for your condition.  While there are numerous over the counter acne and pimple scar treatments available, it is always a good idea to consult a medical professional before trying any medication.

There are different types of scars and there are also different types of treatments.  You may also have some dark marks on the skin as a result of the pimples, while these marks are not considered scars they do typically fall into the discussion of scarring.  These spots may be eliminated with a simple bleaching compound.

There are also chemical peels that are designed to provide assistance in eliminating scars. These peels consist of an acid that is applied to the affected area.  This peel sits on the skin for an extended period of time before being removed. These treatments are basically removing the top layer of the skin and exposing the next layer.

A popular method of treatment is referred to as dermabrasion. This treatment uses mechanical methods to remove the pimple scars.  This procedure start with the patient’s skin being numbed, and then a rotating disk is used like a power sander for the face.  This also is designed to remove the top layer of skin. However the results that occur from this method do not tend to last.

A dermatologist may also determine that the best way to treat your case of pimple scarring may be to use laser.  This method also resurfaces the skin and is similar to derma abrasion except that it uses laser beams to remove the top layer of skin.  This process is called acne laser treatment.  This method also tends to have only temporary results.

Of course the best thing to do is to avoid getting pimple scars in the first place.  While this may sound redundant, there are affective ways to avoid pimples including regular washing of your face and not picking or popping pimples when they do occur.  Seeing a dermatologist and eating the proper foods can be the most effective way to avoid scarring.
